Safety Commitment

OSHA compliance

We work to OSHA standards for residential and commercial roofing, including fall protection requirements, ladder and scaffold safety, personal protective equipment, and hazard communication. Crew leads are responsible for compliance on every job, every day.

Fall protection

• Harnesses, anchors, and lifelines used where required by roof height and pitch.
• Properly secured, correctly angled ladders with three points of contact.
• Roof jacks and toe boards on steep slopes.
• Skylights, chimneys, and openings guarded or covered before work begins.
• No roof work during lightning, high wind, ice, or unsafe surface conditions.

Daily safety procedures

• A morning toolbox talk covering the specific hazards of that property.
• Site walk to identify power lines, weak decking, unstable ground, and drop zones.
• Equipment inspection before use and removal of damaged gear from service.
• Hydration and heat-illness protocols during North Carolina summers.
• Defined debris drop zones kept clear of people, pets, and vehicles.

Property protection

• Tarps and plywood over landscaping, decks, patios, and AC units.
• Gutter and siding protection at ladder contact points.
• Controlled tear-off to keep debris off flower beds and walkways.
• Care around solar equipment, satellite mounts, and exterior fixtures.

Clean job sites

We clean as we go and finish with a full magnetic sweep of the driveway, lawn, and perimeter for nails — usually more than once. Debris leaves with our dumpster the same day work is completed wherever possible. You should be able to walk barefoot in your yard when we leave.

Employee safety

Every crew member is covered by workers' compensation insurance, is trained before working at height, and has the authority to stop work when a condition is unsafe. No production schedule outranks that authority.

Customer safety

• Keep family members and pets indoors and away from ladders and drop zones during tear-off.
• Park vehicles away from the work area so nothing is dropped on them.
• Do not climb ladders or access the roof while our crew is on site.
• Expect vibration indoors — take down fragile wall-hung items in advance.
