Cancellation & Appointment Policy

Inspections are free and we keep cancellation simple. This policy explains how to reschedule, what happens in bad weather, and how cancellation works once a signed roofing contract is in place.

Effective / last updated: July 31, 2026

1. Free inspections and estimates

Roof inspections and written estimates are free, with no obligation to hire us. There is never a cancellation fee for an inspection appointment.

2. Rescheduling or cancelling an appointment

We ask for at least 24 hours' notice when possible so we can offer the slot to another homeowner. Call or text (919) 430-3446, or email mike@ncbestroofer.com. If you need to cancel with less notice, that is fine — just let us know so a crew member is not standing on your driveway.

3. Arrival windows

We schedule arrival windows rather than exact minutes, because roof inspections take variable time and traffic across the Triangle and Triad is unpredictable. You will receive a confirmation and a reminder, and we will call if we are running behind.

4. Missed appointments

If no one is available and access to the property is not possible, we will attempt to reach you and then reschedule. Repeated no-shows without notice may mean we ask you to confirm the next appointment before we dispatch.

5. Weather rescheduling

Safety comes first. Rain, lightning, high winds, ice, or unsafe roof surfaces will cause us to reschedule an inspection or pause an installation. Weather rescheduling is not a cancellation, and no fee applies.

6. Cancelling a signed roofing contract

Cancellation of signed work is governed by your roofing contract. North Carolina and federal rules provide a three-business-day right to cancel certain contracts signed at your home; where that right applies, it is stated in your contract along with instructions for exercising it.

After the cancellation period ends, cancellation may be subject to restocking charges for special-order materials, permit fees already paid, and labor already performed, as set out in your contract. We will always itemize any such charge in writing.

7. Emergency service appointments

Emergency tarping and leak-stop visits are prioritized and dispatched as quickly as safely possible. Because these calls are triaged by severity, an emergency elsewhere may shift your window; we will keep you informed.
